Touch lock not working
I have a 2010 RX350 and the driver door lock actuator was recently replaced about 2 weeks ago. Everything worked great for about a week and now the keyless touch LOCK will not work on either the driver or passenger doors. The UNLOCK feature works fine. The doors will lock and unlock fine from the key FOB buttons and from inside controls. Any idea how to fix this? I know it is minor, given that I can still lock and unlock the car from the key FOB, but it's kind of annoying when the car is supposed to be keyless altogether!! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

That relates to the status sensor inside the door lock actuator.
Inside your actuator you have 3 different sensors
Your Touch lock however uses smart logic. When you touch the handle it senses if the actuator is locked or unlocked and only sends voltage to the actuator if needed. So if you grab onto the door handle and keep holding it while you have a conversation with a friend it will not keep trying to unlock which would shorten the lifespan of the motor in the actuator.
Without the actuator sending the "locked" status signal the vehicle will think it is unlocked and the Touch handle will not send an unlock request.
Two things typically cause this issue. First is a bad actuator, the status sensor can malfunction inside the actuator.
The second method of failure is due to the installation of the actuator. The problem relates to the circular gear in the bottom corner of the actuator with the cross notches in it. There is a rod with a cross end coming from your door key system that needs to align and fit into this gear on the actuator. Usually during installation I have to remove the 3 torx screws on the latch. Holding the actuator in one hand I insert the key into the lock and rotate back and forth a few times. When it seats you may hear a click. Other times I have to remove the connecting rod to get it to align properly.
Here is a good instructional video detailing swapping a door lock actuator.
At the 12:00 time mark the installer is having trouble connecting that rod so he has to pull the rod out and shows how to realign it.

- Lock command sensor
