Default Rubber strip came off

How would you fix it? Pic attached. I wanted to see if there is a special glue I could get and fix it myself. Thank you for any advice.

Those usually just tucks in the channel.
There might be some kind of double sided tape on the ends to hold it in place.

I did, and they wanted an inordinately high amount to fix hence wondered if someone had DIY.

These are not normally glued. Yes they are just tucked in. If you are not a DIY'er then you will have to fond a body shop who can do it for you. Probably cost you $100 tops.

Mine popped out a few years ago, and I just firmly snapped it back into place. Hasn't been a problem since. However, if it keeps happening, putting some double-stick tape down should help.

I checked with the dealer and they said they don’t ‘fix’ this, they need to replace it and it was way more than $100 as they said should do both sides at the same time. I did try to tuck them back in but keep coming out and concerned about paint coming off.

After more ore searching here, found this

Just a thought (and I could be completely wrong)

Many times when a part comes out, like yours, it is worn. it looks ok, but it is not. If you get a new piece it will go in and stay in as it should.

finally, if it is held in with and adhesive, but sure the surface is PERFECTLY clean before installing the new one. My favorites are acetone or ammonia and water and let it dry completely.

I would try contact cement. Strong enough to hold it in place as required, but weak enough to allow you to remove the strip (and the glue residue) if necessary down the road. As pointed out above, the area will need to be squeaky-clean and dry before you apply the glue.
