Recently, my car hasn't been making the normal beeping noise when I unlock with the remote key or by the door handle. I notice that the sound was getting weaker every week, and now it's not making any noise. All four doors are locked when I manually lock it via key fob and door handle. Just not making any beeps when I do so. What can be the reason for this to happen?
Any info, would be appricieated.

 

Could be a failed speaker, chaffed wiring to the speakers, a grounding issue, etc.

 

If you have navigation, I would check the chime volume setting. It's under vehicle settings>customization. I'm not sure how to access it without the nav menu, but I'm sure someone here can assist. Maybe someone turned it down for some reason. If not, then the speaker is probably bad.

 

Since it's getting weaker over time, I'm thinking something like rain, rust, corrosion or a weak connection to the speaker. I don't know where the speaker is.
