Default Smart Entry Not Working.

Ok so a few minutes ago I pulled the ES in the driveway and (as I always do) I use the black button on the door handle to lock the doors but this time I noticed that the car made a beeeeeeeeeeeeppppppp noise until I opened and then reclosed the door, then it stopped. I opened all the doors including the truck to make sure everything was shut and nothing was in the way and then I tried to lock it again but it was a no go it did the same exact thing. So then I decided to lock the car with the key fob and that worked, so I tried to unlock it by grabbing the door handle and that doesn’t work either. So the smart key entry system isn’t working at all. So does anyone know what the problem could possibly be? Hopefully it’s not a super expensive fix or I may just leave it broken (if it is broken).

It actually corrected itself the next day. So it’s currently working and hopefully it will continue to work.
