RX battery seems dead, so fob doesn't open doors. However, emergency key keeps turning in lock. Can't get in to open hood and charge battery. Any ideas how to open door or hood?

 

I believe that your post might be confusing to most people, or that they think you probably solved this on your own by now.

For me, I'm not sure what you mean by emergency key? We have had to resort to using the regular key, included in the remote fob, to lock our doors recently due to an actuator not working.

Is that the key you are referring to? If not, what happens when you use that key?

Any updates to clear the mystery will be appreciated

 

 

So, was it the car battery dead or the key fob battery dead perhaps?

What did he say was wrong with the key?

Did you have to replace lock by Lexus or ...?
