XM weather activated - No subscription
Took my father's RX to his garage to change the fog light bulb. Toyota wanted $60 just to change it. Yikes. Anyway, I go to move the fender liner (whatever it's called) on the passenger side and find the wires to the bulb a little shabby (insulation missing and bare wire exposed). The wire harness to the light came off and finished in my hand............... lovely, huh? Anyway, I plan on taking the front bumper off (no way I'm going to Lexus/Toyota) to repair the wires. Hopefully I won't find anymore damage to other wires. HML.
On a positive note, we have severe weather here in the northeast this afternoon. While driving back to the office, I noticed an icon on the map I've never seen before. I click on it and a voice startles me. It says, "SEVERE WEATHER IN YOUR AREA". Again, I click on "show map" and sure enough there is a map of PA with areas highlighted where there is severe weather. HAHAHHAHA, so neat, never saw that on. No doubt XM weather, but we are not paying for any subscription nor did we get anything in the mail about a "trial offer". Strange. Anyway, thought I would share.Maybe someone else went through the same thing.

Thanks, that was helpful. Well, $60 is most likely fine for those who have no clue (or don't want to) how to change the fog light bulb. I am not one of those people, LOL.
