Default I-Phone 6 & 14 RX?

Had my previous I-Phone 6 synced into the system until I had to exchange phone for a refurbished I-Phone 6. I went ahead and uninstalled old phone out of system and now can't get replacement phone to sync. It keeps saying on the screen "registration waiting" and never installs. Don't know if a Nav upgrade may have something to do with it or not. The car has never had a Nav. upgrade since new. Any ideas why this phone won't install? I do have the Bluetooth on the phone in the "on" mode. Thanks!

My guess is that you need to confirm the pairing in the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone.

I didn't know there were settings on Bluetooth except having it on or off. Thanks Carl! Any other ideas?

Try calling the dealer , they usually have a technology person on site that can help you out

Is you iOS up to date? Try pairing the phone to something else like head phone.

They're unrelated. Nav updates are just map data.

What steps exactly are you taking when attempting to pair?

Are you actually in the Bluetooth settings screen on the iPhone? The device you're pairing it to won't be able to find it unless you are.

What category in "settings" do I find the bluetooth settings? Not real tech savvy here.

I bring up bluetooth on the nav screen, click "add new" and then "register device" and then it goes to registration waiting and stays in that mode and never registers the phone.

I think that is when you go into the Bluetooth settings on your phone and confirm that you allow your RX to pair with your phone. There will be a profile in your phone's Bluetooth settings for each vehicle or device you've paired your phone with.

We seem to just bumble through this on our own vehicles and in rental and loaner cars - never really knowing what we are doing but we always get it to work.
