Keyless Entry Key Fob - Dead
Ok, I have a 2015 RX350. Today I grabbed the key fob we seldom use as one of my kids had the other one. No big deal, except it would not work. No light on the fob when pressed. I pop a new battery in there and all good right? No, now the light works but the fob not only does not work, I could not open the car with the key when I take the key and place it in the lock.
So, what gives?
On a lighter and better note, I did install a trailer hitch today - not bad for a guy who got a new left hip 5 weeks ago right?

Is it possible that the remote belongs to another vehicle? The key blade should work.

My wife insisted on getting the 30k dealer maintenance service on her 2015 RX.
She needed my key as they replace both batteries as part of the service.
I knew how much it cost and envisioned my fob up on a lift with a team of technicians in white lab coats standing underneath contemplating their options.

In the immortal words of Roberto De Vicenzo, in April 1968, after sighing an incorrect scorecard and thus losing the Master's.... "Oh, what a stupid I am."
We DO have 2 Lexus vehicles, and they do have almost identical fobs. I am not certain that I took the wrong one, but I think I did, and will take a closer look later today.
Never in a million years did think for even one second that I took the wrong set of keys!
