Perspective Buyer - Trip/ODO and Dash Bright Issue? Pls Advise

Perspective Buyer - Trip/ODO and Dash Bright Issue? Pls Advise
in toronto, canada
looking at a used 2011 rx350 with premium 2 and technology pack with 71,000KM
down to agreed price of $22,500
test drove, all looks good, but noticed 2 things...is this normal?
so the Trip/ODO button didnt do anything when I pushed it, i assume its not normal, is it a concern?
then the dash brightness button, the + button could be pushed, but did nothing, and the - button was like stuck, couldnt feel it being pushed at all...is that normal? Does it have to be dark to work the brightness?
anyone ever seen these issue or can give me their feedback?
anything else in this model i should check or look out for before buying?
