Recently purchased a CPO 2011 LS460L with 26,000 miles. The car is equipped with APGS. It has a Pre support parking button on the steering wheel just below the hold button.
I am still trying to figure out on how to use this system. When I press the Pre Support button when in Drive, the screen changes to either parallel or perpendicular parking depending on how many times press the button. It prompts me to move forward in perpendicular parking mode and to turn the wheel when I hear the chime. The issue is I never hear the chime. As I continue to move forward and crosses the empty parking spot, it even cancels the APGS. I called the Lexus Tech specialist and he tells that that he has never a car with Pre support button and its very rare and I should use it if there is no pre support button using the back camera screen.

My question to you guys, Is there is any setting which needs to be changed for me to hear that chime or am I doing something wrong or the APGS is malfunctioning on the car
