CV Boot replacement
Has anybody had CV boot issues? My 2010 FWD has a leaky boot on the driver's side, the outer one. Was wondering if this is common (I searched and found stuff for other Lexus but not the 3RX), and how much I should expect to be out. I'm pretty handy with tools and usually do my own work but I think I'm gonna let an Indy take care of this one.
let me know, thanks!

I did the inner on first gen. I bought the kit from Lexus. There may be an easier option of two piece clamshell boot, but I gave up on that.
Mark the position before and match when you reassemble. The grease is nasty. Just make sure you do not pull apart the joint ..it is pretty tricky to put it back (yes i did pull it apart). Dont cheap out and do purchase the seals and snap ring.
Dont delay as a leak also means that dirt can get in.

I dont think there is substantial difference when it comes to drive shafts. I did have factory service manual for the first gen. Hope to acquire one soon for [2 yrs for CPO]
