Default CV boot repair kit?

Hi Everyone! it's been some time.

Took my car in for service today and got notified that I had a ripped cv boot. I asked how much to fix and they said $760 lololol... I have bought whole axle assemblies for couple hundred dollars.

Question is, does anyone know if there is a repair kit for ours that I can do myself? maybe a part number?

thanks!

I replaced both front boots. Lexus quoted me almost $2,000 for parts alone. I bought used from junkyard for $200 each.

You can barely find CV kits these days. Most places make you buy a half shaft with boots already installed and your unit is the core exchange.

Yeah. looks like I'll just have to pull it and have it rebuilt again while they're at it. They charge $250 to rebuild and it includes the boot haha.

I was hoping to find one of those kits that you don't even have to take off the axle..

Contact Lexus parts. I did the boot replacement for 99RX (FWD). Made a mess the first time as I pulled apart the cv-joint. The other side ripped after a short while and that was a breeze. The kit was under $50 and came in Toyota box. I would say go for it, just mark initial position and match on re-assembly. Having a bench vise is a great help.
