Default Infant Car Seat in center position of rear seat

What is the best infant car seat to install in center position of the rear seat of a 2014 Lexus RX350?

I don't necessarily know what is the best one, but we had a Graco Keyfit 30 in our 3RX and it worked great.

Any position in the rear seat will work just fine.
I prefer the rear right because it is easier to access and the driver seat does not have to move as far forward to make room for the rear-facing child seat.
At the same time, it makes it easier for the driver to see the baby.

NOT a Diono. We bought a pair of those and they cost a fortune and are a nightmare to work with. They weigh a trillion pounds, cost a trillion dollars, ruin the seats, get more broken on every airline flight and are very difficult to un/install.
Our infant seats were Baby Trend with the triangular handle and I recommend those to everyone. It's an excellent seat that's THE EASIEST to carry due to its handle shape and they're one of the cheapest.

I went with Chicco Keyfit as well. Love the travel system!

I'm surprised you don't like the Diono. We have one and have been very, very happy with it. It's been easy for us to install and hasn't caused any damage to our seats. Probably the happiest we've been with a seat so far.

Maybe I am wrong, the middle seat is not supposed to be the ideal location for an infant seat.

My comment is based on safety issue and has nothing to do with how flat/secure/convenient the center back seat is.

In case of an accident, statically the center rear seat is the safest spot [intrusion].
