Moving the front seats back?
Hello to everyone. What a fantastic forum. I am tall 6'5" and was curious if is possible to move the seat rails back to create a bit more leg room. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this? Thanks...
I'm 6'1" my seat is all the way back and not reclined much and it hits the back seat. This works for me with a 34" inseam. You would need to remove the back seat bench to get more room.

I'm at about 6' and i find that tilting the seat bottom rear down and the seat bottom front up that I have a lot more leg room (and head room). Sort of sinks yourself into the seat, like an extended recliner.

I'm 6' 3" and had a little trouble getting comfortable at first, but after fiddling around with the seat height up/down (front & rear as described by others) and playing with the back angle, its now all-day comfortable.
Moving the seat rails would do no good at all in the stock configuration - the rear seat gets in the way. To move the rails back, you would have to either take something out of the back of the seats (difficult at best with those air bags) or make some changes in the back seat area ...probably the best way to go.
Maybe a custom upholsterer could remove some of the padding at the front of the rear seat to give you a few more inches of travel. I've seen some custom sub-woofer boxes built that replaced the rear seat completely & there was a lot of room behind there.....
Good luck...
