2010 RX350 Audio Issues
Hello Members,
Just found that this thread is similar to problems I wanted to share with the house. I drive a 2010 RX350 FWD with 75k mileage on it. I am new to the forum, this is my first post!
My sound system have been behaving weird lately. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I hear static noise from my rear door lower speaker behind the driver's seat. I replaced the speaker hoping it is not the almighty amp that is bad, but the noise still persist anytime the system is working.
I took a step further to located and remove the amp for visual check, I was amazed when I saw a pioneer 86100-0E070 model, thought it would be the Mark Levison.
Amp looks okay physically. I believe I have the change the amp since the head unit is working fine but no sound.
All my searches have only got me to see 86100-0E060 amp, none on Amazon but not this 86100-0E070 model.
I want to know if this Pioneer 86100-0E060 model will still work for my 12 speakers audio with nav system? If I will love to upgrade to the Mark Levison, which model will suit my car?
More importantly, if there are way of resolving issues like this without throwing parts at them, kindly share for troubleshooting purposes. Anyway, the amp seems to be pretty scarce, I have called about 3 junk yard/auto part store, none seems to have this amp. If there are quick pointers on where to look, I will appreciate that as well.
Thanks

is there a substitute?
Hello,
I wasn't able to get the 86100-0E070 amplifier, so I had to purchase the 86100-0E060 model. I tested it, it worked fine. However, I never used it, as I was able to trace the fault to one of the door speakers. It was the rear left door speaker that was bad, causing the amplifier to act up.
So I replaced the speaker and got a replacement for the other speakers as well in case they also start acting up. It's being working fine since - no more issue with the audio system.

how did you know that the rear left door speaker was bad? If I can do this, I can replace that speaker than locating a hard to find amp that costs $600
I have a 2010 RX350 and this morning the power button on my audio will not turn on. The screen is working; but defaults to the
navigation map. Power button won't turn on; cannot turn on from steering wheel and voice recognition not
working. Checked all fuses under hood and disconnected battery to reboot system. Same thing still defaults to map. Any idea what this could be? I thought I read that there is fuse box on passenger side inside car? Can't imagine the radio just died? I can adjust temperature but no radio; nav, Sat ; Bluetooth. No audio at all

My symptoms were that the volume control stopped working and there was no sound at all, but I could hear the system turning on because there was a thump from the subwoofer. I could change inputs, but neither the **** or steering wheel volume control worked.
The steering wheel mode also didn't work.
After checking for blown fuses, I figured that there was a loose or disconnected harness, so I started disassembly.
I dismantled the centre console using the method shown in this video
While disconnected, I had exactly the same symptoms that you described - stuck on navigation. This means that one of the cables for the centre console is loose.
I temporarily reconnected all the centre console cables, turned on the car (2010 RX 450h),and bingo, Audio was working.
Hopefully this helps someone else who finds this thread like I did searching for solutions.
I have just joined this forum because I had a similar problem to this and another thread (sound died - just a click when turning on the ignition) and I wanted to post my solution:

Q: Was any one in there before? I have found one thing consistent in all Lexus vehicles is
a) Positive feedback connectors [you will hear a snap that locks the connectors]
b) strain relief on wires. This prevents connectors from wriggle and prevents wire breakage as well as no rattling of wires.

Thank you for sharing.

a) - not sure. For the connectors that ran below the console - which may or may not have been the problem - I can't say for sure. I didn't disconnect them, but I did make sure that all of them were fully seated, by squeezing the connector closed. Because I had fully disconnected the console by the time I tested (and because that meant the system was stuck in navigation mode because the centre console was missing), I can't tell if that alone would have fixed the problem.
b) - I do know that when I was trial re-fitting the console, there were a couple of different ways of re-fitting the wires, and at least one of the ways would have had more strain on the wires than another. I had a couple of goes working out which way was best to have no strain, but then again, there would have only been strain if the console had previously been removed.
