Headlights Not Tied to Wipers?
I leave my headlight switch in the auto mode. For at least the past 10 years or so I've had the headlights come on, without regard to ambient light, when the wipers are operating. This can be in manual wiper mode, or rain sense as long as they're running across the windshield. Recently I noticed that the headlights did not come on, even though the wipers were running continuously is rain sense mode. Do I have to turn on the headlights manually when it's raining and not dark enough to trigger the headlights? I realize that the DRL feature still works, but headlights on also activates tail lights.

. My 2009 BMW did not link the two together, and neither does my 2014 MBZ. It seems to be the luck of the draw for different brands and models. We've discussed this in other threads here, and I think most of us agree it would be a GREAT feature if it allowed us to link headlights with auto wipers. Be sure to make use of your new car survey to put in the suggestion.
