Perhaps he meant the "Home Button" on the iPhone.

As mentioned by Dadofruth, a long press of the "Talk" voice command button located on the steering wheel below the Off Hook and On Hook buttons will start the SIRI interface.

Just to clear up some confusion in this thread. A long press of the "off hook" button will activate Siri if your car is equipped with Siri Eyes Free. Which is 2014-up RXs. The iPhone will not pull all messages in your phone, just ones you get while you're in the car. Apple has for some reason blocked the capability to reply to texts using the car's 15 canned responses. Using Siri Eyes Free is a way around that. While you may see a "reply" button, it will not work.

Using "Hey Siri" while the phone is plugged in, is activating the iPhone itself. It's not a feature of the car but of the phone. If your car is equipped with Siri Eyes Free, I suggest you use that instead.

Generally, I don't tend to use Siri in the vehicle. I don't speak loudly so it seems she never understands what I'm saying when it's going through the vehicle speakers.

I just recently started getting my texts on the nav screen thanks to a different thread where someone asked a question about this. It was just one setting in my iPhone.
