i got the front license plate bracket with the rx. and it came in a green bag, but it only has the screws to mount it to the car? not to secure a personalized plate to it? why would they not have included the screws to secure the plate as well? just seems silly to me as now i have to get the screws to mount the plate.

Your post makes me chuckle!

Here in California, where it's illegal NOT to mount the front plates,
MOST if not all cars delivered have the frame already.
When i got the plates, it took less than 3 minutes to put them in.
All i need to do is screw, twice!

And then there's a of people spending money to remove them, touch up paints etc.

Well, PA is one of those states that doesn't require front plates. But most people put on personalized plates anyway. Strange you didn't get screws with the bracket. You can ask the dealer for them, Home Depot might be better. They're nothing special.

I didn't get bolts either with the bracket. I guess dealer gets these in bulk. They are usually plastic and last a very long time in Northern states. I reused leftover metal bolts I had from my other Toyota vehicles.

If the holes for the bracket are already drilled into the bumper, you pretty much have to put a plate on there to cover them up. Why not just stop by the dealer and have them mount it?

There's a reason the manufacturers never have front plates on their cars in the publicity photos!
