Hi Guys.
I have just purchased a RX450h 2009 in the uk,i am really happy with it apart from the braking light on the right hand side of the dash comes on intermittently.I use the car in the mornings to drive 1.5m to the station. Can anyone shed light on why this maybe happening ???

You could be low on brake fluid. Check that then check your brake pads as it may be time to change.

Lastly, engage then disengage your parking brake. It could be getting hung up

For some reason a moderator moved this from the second generation to the third. It actually should be in the Hybrid Technology Forum.

Rainbird, I don''t necessarily think it's a problem exclusive to the 450h. If it turns out to be, the thread can be moved again. BTW, another mod must have moved it. Wasn't me. And before somebody asks, yes it's a 3RX. We're a model year later in the States.

Welcome to CL, Bigbirdlam. I can't say I've experienced anything like that. Can you give us some more information like how many miles you have and if any brake work has been performed. Also, does it happen when you drive to other places as well? Please post a picture of the light if you can so we know exactly which one you're referring to.

So, you noticed a small orange light, yet not a big message in the middle of the dash telling you what the light means?

Did you check the brake fluid level yet?
