Usually I find the 5 quarts jug cheapest at Walmart.

More than likely will change at 10k intervals. Bought it used and Jiffy lube could not look up the previous record unless i knew the shop which i thought was weird.
Thanks for the info I found here, it helped.
I did a first oil change on my new to me 2015 rx350 with 23000miles.
The engine seems to run a little quieter now, (so maybe the old oil was wrong type?)
The old oil color was dark honey and not black so that made me happy.
The old filter also looked clean, so maybe I did the oil change to soon, but I'm glad I did it.

Also, does anyone know if Auto Extra is a good brand?
That is a clean-looking oil filter. No idea about the Auto Extra brand. Back in late October I ordered 5 Genuine Toyota 04152 YZZA1 oil filters with 2 new drain plug gaskets from amazon.com. Paid a total of $27.20 with free shipping. I am still 5,000 miles away from doing my first oil & filter change on our 2015 RX350 FWD.
I did not buy this filter, it was installed by the previous owner. I bought a K&N filter, but in the future I may buy a Toyota filter. I decided to show the part number of the one I pulled out for those that may be interested.
The service records indicate that the last oil change was done 5000 miles ago by a Lexus dealer in Orland Park.
I bought this car a couple of months ago (2500 miles ago) from a Subaru dealer, and he claimed that they changed the oil too.

Non - This filter looks like it's two months old. The Subaru dealer probably changed the oil, and didn't put it into the car's records. Congratulations!

We purchased my wife's 2015 RX350 FWD three months ago today. The Florida Lexus dealership where it was sold and serviced always used Pennzoil 0W20 full synthetic. I like Castrol Edge 0W20 full synthetic and will use that product when I do my first oil and filter change (still another 5,000 miles to go before it will be due). Any reputable 0W20 full synthetic brand should be fine for these vehicles.
Hope to hear from some one who has tried Amisoil .. it comes in 3 flavors at 3 price points. I have stayed with Castrol for all vehicles but I dont like to hear the valve sound when the vehicles have not been driven recently.
I'm a huge Amsoil fan! I use it in 2 motorcycles, 1 car, 1 snow mobile...and a couple of other toys. I have yet to use it in the RX only because I have a toyota dealership within rock throwing distance that gives me a decent oil change price.
The RX has the 10,000 mile oil change interval. The reminder warning is a holdover from when it was 5,000 miles. Lexus/Toyota did not change it as it helps the dealers make a lot of money if you bring in to them more often for overpriced tire rotations and so called check ups while you eat their muffins & bagels and drink their coffee. Then they tell you that you have to have some repair that an indpendent shop would tell you is not needed at that time!
