HF is harbor freight and your best friend for great deals on low pro and big jacks.

All floor jacks are subject to failure, therefore the need to use jack stands as well.

Jack stands are a must! A floor jack is hydraulic, it can fail at any moment.

Just bought a Titan air jack from ebay, but have not received it yet.
I'll update the post after I trying it.

For those looking for a long term relationship with their vehicles and who have the space they can allocate it might be a worthwhile investment to look into something like the following from Costco:

Little overkill for tire and oil changing, but overall would love that

I haven't found a need to jack up the Lexus. I changed the engine oil and filter and it did not need a jack. I do have a jack around and jackstands too. I will echo what others said. You need jackstands as a second insurance. But I also put support under the tires e.g. 2 x 4 for a third insurance when I go under any car.

HF floor jacks, one low profile and one normal. I needed the low profile to lift my old G35 Coupe and now the CT200h F Sport.

Insurance provided by 2 pair of Craftsman jack stands. I made hardwood support blocks with notches cut across the grain to fit onto the jack mount ridges on the lower body. I then used epoxy putty to form custom fit blobs on the bottom of each to fit onto each jack stand. I placed plastic wrap on the jack stand so they would not stick to it when drying. The blocks make it easier to place the jack stands under the car than trying to find a frame section, especially in the rear.
