PCS Light ON
Greetings to all from Italy, I just picked up my new RX 450h, and I notice that the PCS light on the dashboard stays on. The manual states that it is a malfunction of the PCS system, someone has an idea what the problem could be? is there a reset button or something?
Thanks in advance,
Roberto

Hello Roberto and welcome to CL. Did anything happen before the PCS light came on? On my 450h it's coupled with dynamic laser cruise control. The light came when heavy slush hit the front grill but it went off on its own after a while. I'm not aware of a reset button. Most likely you will have to return to the dealer to have them take a look. Good luck and congrats on your 450h.

Hi Anita,
thanks for you reply. It seems that the indicator is active since the delivery of the car, at first I thought it was normal, it is also the only non-green light on the dashboard. Friday last week, when I picked up the car, there was a heavy snowfall, but other than that, I can not connect any event potentially responsible of the problem. I think I will take a ride by the dealer and have them take a look.
Thanks again,
Roberto

Roberto,
Welcome to C/L and X2 what Anita said about visiting the dealer. Probably something small they can handle while you wait (hope so). What are dealers in Italy like? Are they set up with a Starbucks type bar like here in the U.S.?
Send photos of your car when you can.

Hi Jim,
actually there is only one authorized dealer in Turin, a beautiful facility, coffee and drinks available, even if you do not compare it to a Starbucks. My car is pearl white with black semi aniline leather interior, full optional luxury version, which means that the only option you can add is the pre crash safety system, which of course I added. I'll post the photos as soon as possible, together with the first data on fuel consumption.
Thank you for the kind welcome,
Roberto

PCS Light ON ... solved
Hi all,
I stopped by the Lexus dealer , in fact there is a PSC switch (not so easy to reach...) just above the accelerator pedal to activate the pre crash safey system. Near this switch there is another key to turn off the ability to vary the ride height of the vehicle.. Lexus staff was quick and friendly, and now no more yellow lights on the dashboard.

Roberto, that's great news. I'll have to check the 450h later for the switch. BTW, air suspension is not available on the RXs in the US anymore. How do you like it? My 330 came equipped with it. Never really used it though.

Hello Anita, so far (less than 1,000 km traveled) I have not used the adaptive suspension, I think could be useful in case of heavy snowfall to increase the height from the ground, as far as ride comfort I find the car very "soft "and comfortable (I come from a BMW X5), probably will try to lower the height and try the sport driving mode, will let you know my impressions.

Just took my 2014 IS250 in for the exact problem. I wish I saw this prior...now I am careless for 4 hours. They also gave me a nice disclaimer that they may charge me $140 to diagnose the problem. :/
