Any possibility something slipped into the console through the cup holder cover? A few members have had things fall in there.

It's a good place to store your piece when traveling cross country. Also a great place to leave a bottle of QD and some microfibers. Since the manuals are on-line I leave the books at home. Seems like that might also be a good place to store a soft drink cooler too. The uses for that space could be endless.

I'm not sure, it's been in there since I picked up the truck in Aug. But yes, something fell somewhere, I just don't know where. Definitely sounds like a bolt of some sort and it rolls at least 8-12 inches on sharp turns. When it gets warmer, I'm going to get my 10mm and start taking things off for a thorough search.

Because I'm sure if I take it to the dealer, that will be the time, it won't roll.

RX330inFL just referred me to this thread. I just got my 2014 RX. Thanks for posting this and thanks RX330INFL for referring me. I was wondering where that "World Book Encyclopedia" type manual should go!

It might be too late to offer an advice considering that this is an old thread, but try to check air vents under the seats. It you roll the seat all the way forward, you'll see wide and flat plastic pipes. There was a case when a small round pebble got inside one of those in my old Corolla and was making this very rolling sound.

There is a 2nd door towards the front. It has a finger hole on top

The RX350 has an hidden storage area that goes under the shifter area. You have to open the arm rest and then pull out the floor trim that gives access to the lower arm rest storage box and that area has an door that can be opened that goes under the shifter area. I used that hidden area to store my GROM radio upgrade control box.
