Default Heated Steering Wheel Possible

Has anyone looked into how to do a mod to have the steering wheel heat up. While my 2013 did not come w/heated steering wheel, it would seem that somewhere under the console there is a harness that woulkd just require a switch? Thoughts by any of our enthusiastic members?

I would think that there would have to be some heating elements in the steering wheel for it to work.

My 2013 Ultra prem does have the heated steering wheel and it is nice on these chilly mornings. The only part that heats up though are the leather areas at quarter to and quarter after (comparing your steering wheel to a clock) but not half past. My understanding from owning BMW's is that the heated vs non-heated steering wheel steering column requires a different clock spring as well--so that may be an issue for Lexus as well - just thought I would throw that out there as something to be aware of. I am sure though that the harness is present. It would be nice if it were offered as an individual option as well. Of course for the folks in the USA, you get so many options to choose from -here in Canada you either get an enitre package or not. Even parking sensors are not available as an individual option--of course I won't say where I think Lexus Canada Marketing Dept has their heads. It took several letters in the past to get them to create more than one Ultra Prem package--one with the rear entertainment system and one without.
