Subscription is $65/year. I don't know what the in car device will cost, but i would be surprised if it was cheaper than the current $400+ remote starter. Seems like a good option for people that use a remote starter. I don't need remote starter in my climate. Locking/unlocking doors seems like a small or no advantage for me, but others may find it very useful. The GPS car locator is a cool feature, but I can't ever remember not being able to find my car.

Now if it was setup so I would not have to carry my key at all, that might be attractive.

I want this on the '13 RX350 I just ordered, but dealer can't find a part number. I certainly don't want them to install the standard remote start if it is different from this.

Anyone find a part number for the "RES+ accessory"?

If you click on the models mentioned on the compatibility page, it takes you to the 2013 model year. Although I can't imagine stepping back a model year or two would be that difficult for Lexus.

A pro about this is it's now covered by Lexus warranty and Lexus fob will work too.
A con (I think) is no text alerts from the factory alarm system.
A neutral is the price, it's inline with after market systems and subscriptions.

It is not available until sometime in 2013. But, will be offered on the RX at that time.

I heard there will be kits for more vehicles made available later, I believe the older RX models were included.

What a great step forward over the existing remote start ... the price seems good also in comparison.
