Default is it a flaw or proper functioning?

Hi to all,

the climatre control in my RX is set to 72F-when staring RX in the morning, if outside temp. is the same 72F, there is no air flow from the vents, and the fan is Off.
To get the air from the vents, I have to lower the temp. setting to 71 or better to 70F, and then the air starts coming out.

Is it normal operation of the climate control?
In other vehicles I had before, the climate control would still produce air flow, at the requested temp. (in my case 72F), even if the outside temp was the same 72F.

Thanx

try to wait a few minutes after starting the RX and the air will flow.
i get the same scenario as yours.
pulling out from the garage there is no air... yet.
BUT as i reach the side street and as i make my way to the freeway ramp
the air starts to come out, with the fan at its lowest level.

Yes, it's operating properly. My 2013 RX450h does the same thing.

Either I'm confused or my rx350 doesn't do that. I manually start the air all the time.

patience is a virtue!
dumb question... you have a green/yellow light on the "auto" button. right?

it's not just Lexus, even with our Toyota's it's how we deal with heating/cooling.
we set it to let's say 75 F and we forget it!

That's what I do, set it and forget it. I would not want the fan on right away anyway in the garage, sucking in all those exhaust fumes.

Yes my is set to "Auto" 72F, but I park outside,
if the fan is OFF, the air inside is somewhat stuffy.

I'd have to live with that.
