Hi all, I picked up my 2009 3rd gen RX350 and its missing a few features from other RX350's I've seen/driven. For example; I can't set the locking of the doors, or the preferences for daytime running lights. I was sure that was user programmable in the interface via Remote Touch.
So just wondering.. does the Lexus dealer apply software and/or firmware updates to the Remote Touch system?
It is on mine. Maybe yours was an early release and they updated the software later in the production cycle. You can always ask the dealer about it, I would.
Don't know if this is what your looking for, but if you sit in car (with car turned off) and hit unlock on both the door and key fob it saves settings to THAT key (seat settings, etc...).
Most useful if you and wife have separate keys it'll adjust seat accordingly before you get in, radio presets, mirrors, etc...
There was a firmware update to address the iPod scrolling problem around February 2010 for the 3rd gens in the US. RXs built after that already had it installed. Here is a link for more informaiton:
