Default Driver's Floor Mat Wearing

Never had a problem with my Lexus carpeted floor mats wearing out. My '99 only got dirty, but my 2010 with very low mileage is showing signs of wear. When I looked at oem replacements I'm having trouble finding the dark gray color. I also don't really need to replace all the mats.

Replace the carpeted mats with WeatherTech all weather mats. So far, they have worn better than any Lexus mat I have used.

I don't like all weather or rubber mats; especially wearing heels. I wondered if my Nike sneakers add more friction to the carpet?

I always thought that dress shoes are worse for any mat. They are heavier so probably would cause more friction.

Check at Sewells for some mats they had some on clearance for $40 that I bought before Christmas.

Here is a link. I do not see any grey however.

Thanks great idea, but no dark gray mats. I had actually checked Sewell before posting, but for some reason they don't list dark gray.

most of the times you will only need to replace the front mats.
that's what we do in all our cars, whether it's the Lexus or Toyota

I have a new set of the dark grey and a new set of the black (from the Sewell deal above) that I use in my Starfire white/ Parchment RX. I like the look of the black mats more than the grey ... I don't think you are giving up anything switching to black from grey, at least in the Parchment interior. I also purchased an inexpensive set of generic (but, very nice) black mats from Walmart or some similar place. I took one of the small rectangular back seat mats and use it over my Lexus mat in my high use area as a small foot pad that takes almost all of the use and dirt. It is easy to take out and clean. If it needs to be replaced it was cheap.
