Are you talking about the carpeted or all weather mats? I've had the all weather for years and they show no signs of wear and tear and hold up to the bad weather. They're also cheaper than other brands. I've been very happy with them.
I bought the Lloyd mats. (from anything auto.com) They are beautiful, and well made. I choose the one piece for the second row, very nice. I put them right over the Lexus mats and the clips fitted the hole to lock it in place. It adds an extra level of insulation on the floor.
Do the Loyds mats have an extra piece on the drivers mat that covers the plastic "foot rest" part next to the brake? I hate how mine always looks scuffed up and dirty.
The clips are on the front only. The second row"one piece" fits very well and doesn't move around. The front drivers mat is made of all plush dense carpet. No plastic insert. My front drivers mat has not shown any signs of wear from my show heel. (in use 7 months) Its a great buy.
I did some free lance work for a company called Posh Pile. The owner is a car enthusiast who after not being able to find a high quality replacement mat for his Lexus - he made his own. The company is selling in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and several others. Here is a quote from a recent Posh Pile about the 5TH Avenue mats:
“These are the best Car Mats on the Market! They are luxurious, thick, extremely well made and worth double the price EASILY. Simply the Best! Thank You Posh Pile!” - Daniel J. McGinnity
They fit very well and are only $69.95 on the website: Also are on Ebay and Amazon with variable shipping costs. If you're interested, see the links below. Thank You.
I have the Lloyd Lux mats in my LS. They are VERY plush - maybe a bit too plush as my heel drags in the pile when I move from the gas to the brake. While they are quite nice, i should have just ordered a new set of factory mats.
Does the Tan color they have for all weather mats go well with the beige interior or the Black looks better ?
Also, are they to be placed over the company mats or instead ?
I've found the black mats can work in a tan interior if there is a black color accenting the dash or steering wheel - otherwise you'll have to go with a tan/beige color. Whether you place the mats on top of the OEM mats or replace them all together, the mats offer great protection. You can find some photos below.
