Picked up my Nebula Gray/Light Gray today and am debating whether to install Mud Guards for Southern Calif.

Meh. Why not? I do not think they look horrid like some other manufacturers guards and thy are simple to install. Takes about 30 minutes and no drilling required. I would recommend purchasing them from Sewell and use you CL username to receive a discount

Again no drilling required. Search this forum for mudguard install and you will find some tips

I never could understand the reasoning of mud guards.

In front. they only protect the lower section of your bottom panel 2-3 feet back,
then everything after that gets hammered.

Mud guards in the back, might help a little if your towing a trailer,
but besides that, makes no sense to me.

Put them on my new 450h. Always put them on my vehicles. Helps keep mud off the lower panels, and protects from rocks if driving on recently asphalted roads. They look much nicer on the RX than any other vehicle I've had, to be honest.

I put them on my RX350 shortly after I got it. I think they look fine and they are very easy to install yourself. They also keep the side of your car cleaner - I always seem to find that small puddle of water shortly after washing my car and they keep it from splattering all down the side. Definitely order from Sewell with your discount for being a member here on the forum.

Hahaha Lilly.

Here is a picture of the 450 with mudguards. My opinion is that they cant hurt as far as having extra protection and they look good to me. I think its a win/win situation.

Thanks for the visual. I like the rear! Front, not so much.

I recommend them. Had them on past 3 SUVs. Picture below, but black mud guards on back and front a re hard to see with overhead lighting casting shadows.

I'd recommend the mud guards. They're inexpensive and easy to install. Here is a picture of them before they made it on to the 450h. The front ones (top) are smaller than the back (bottom). And they are made in Canada.

Nice! I want those. Do I get them at the dealer or is there a better/cheaper place? Thanks, Dave

When you register your account include your ClubLexus login ID on your Sewell account. Then login. You will automatically see the original AND a special discounted price for ClubLexus members. Be sure and get what you need in a single shipment to minimize shipping costs (ie. touch up paint and other items).

Got mine installed within the first week. And after reading all the posts in this forum, I ordered mine from Sewell.com. Easy to install and you can hardly tell that it's even there.
