Okay, I will bite... Why turn off the rainsensing wipers?
To avoid damaging the wipers and/or motor if they are frozen to the windshield. When I park and it's still snowing, I make sure the wipers complete the wipe cycle and lift them off of the windshield. It makes clearing easier too.
Ahhh, that makes sense. Around here when winter comes, it stays all the way until construction and mosquito seasons start so I dont think that will be an issue.
My primary use is to start the car so it has some warmth which allows you to drive earlier and be warmer doing it. The ability to turn on the seats on and have blower motor going is what is needed in my climate.
How is the heat in the cold weather with the 450h? I assumed it would be fine as every taxi in Winnipeg is and has been for the past 10 years a Prius. People who drive and live in their car for a living by nature would appreciate being warm and no matter what gas milage you get would not be enough to be cold all day. I would assume the RX's is even better.
