Default Thule Aero Bars

I installed the Thule Aero bars and Rapid Crossroad Railing Feet in lieu of the factory crossbars (for looks and increased weight capacity). However, they whistle loudly above 30 MPH.

I have found many solutions posted online about applying tape or silicone to various spots on the feet and/or bars to remedy this, but no one has included pictures or descriptions that are detailed enough for me to follow. I'd rather not waste my time applying tape and silicone to every possible spot.

Is anyone using these exact bars and feet on their vehicle? If so, can you help me out with noise suppression spots that have worked for you?

Thanks.

Through trial and error (and lots of driving with my head out the window), I've determined how to fix this incessant whine. There are two key areas that need to be covered with silicone or tape (I used the later):
- The small gap between the gray crossbar and the blank foot.
- The hole at the bottom of the endcap on the crossbar.

Covering each of these with felt tape did the trick. I don't know how weatherproof this will be, so I may end up replacing with silicone tape, which is waterproof and sticks to itself.

I'll try to post some pics if I get the chance.
