Wil, the color is not as white as I'd like. In fact it looks almost as bad as the OE bulbs. The problem with the bulbs is the percentage of power is much lower as a DRL, hence the dim look. I bought a pair of PUTCO mirror whites from Steve at XenonDepot to try out. He told me the blue film on the Litech bulbs are probably interfering with the light. But I think only LEDs can give the whiteness we want. I will ask my installer about them when I'm there Saturday getting the new fog ballasts and bulbs put in.

Here are some pictures of the Litechs day as DRL, night as high beam. It is a bit whiter than the picture but not that much.

I installed the LED's for my DRL and they look great. They are not yellow at all, nor are they blue. I went with the 18 SMD they are plenty bright as DRL's. I have a RX350.

My usual shopping place, e-bay. They weren't a lot of money and they were from China, I know I'm bad but the price was right. All of my LED's have been from there and I haven't had a problem.

OK I have diversified, they were from Hong Kong. Here is the link, I hope.

MEP7557, can we see a pic? I got mine for $15 and they're from China as well. I feel that the oem halogen is more visible. But the hid is great in broad daylight. The led DRL is not as " bright"?

MEP, that price makes me nervous about the quality. Shipping will cost much more than the bulb too. I tried ordering bulbs through e-bay before and it was a disaster. This weekend I'll install the PUTCO halogens and see how they look. If it doesn't work out, then it's time to see what V-LEDS has to offer. I've had good luck with their bulbs.

Thanks!

I am using the LED strips for my DRL's. I had already ordered the bulbs when I decided to go in a different direction. I went ahead and put them in to see what they would look like. If I change my mind on the strip LED's I am set to go back to the others. Lot's of options. I can get my front to light up like a Mac truck, but I don't.LOL

I'm all for good visability, but,
have you ever sat at a stop light at night behind an amber rear turn signal? Seems very obnoxious to me. Also when I pass some cars with the bright white headlights I find it very distracting. I must be getting old, but at night too bright car lights are very distracting. I've been thinking about a pellet gun.

Here is a picture with the LED strips and the LED DRL on, they in real life have a little bit bluer cast to them. This was taken with the Arizona sun bearing down on them.

Wil this the link for the connection.

The other day I turned both of the DRL lights on. The sun is so bright here you don't notice the OEM DRL's that much. I also did not put a decoder on the OEM's so they probably could be brighter with the decoder. It's kind of fun, I can light up the front like a Mac truck, or not.

Awesome job you've done there. Too much spaghetti there for me to handle!
