I used the pliers to take the bulb out and guide it back in since I couldn't figure out how to remove the whole dome. That was the worst of all the bulbs to replace between the cover and the small space to work in. I didn't take a picture unfortunately. Good luck.

I did not remove the whole lighting dome either. I just pry the white plastic covering of the lights similar to how you do it in the front dome lights. I used a small screw driver.

Default K level for RX350 HID conversion

Thank you!

~another question - what K level of HID do they normally put in the RX350s? I am between the 5 and 6Kelvin.

OEM is 4300 but I feel 5K is perfect.

Thanks! So 4300 is what would come w/ the bi-xenons...unfortunately - it doesn't look like I can replace my halogens with bi-xenons (bummer), but am going to switch to HID at least. Does the 5K light up better than the 4300? I am bummed that I can't have a high beam HID (bixenon).

4300 has a bit more lumens but 5K is close and produces a whiter light look.
6K has less lumens and more of a hint of blue light.

Thanks again - is there a site that best shows the difference? I had bixenons on my GS, and now I miss them! I want to get closest to what that was...although the high beams won't be possible.

one more question (for now)...would you also replace the fog lights to help w/ the high beam? If so - what would you put there?

The bi-xenon brights work well so I went strickly for aesthetics and used a 28 LED H11 bulb from VLEDs.
A little whiter than the HIDs a much nicer match than the yellow stock bulb.
I believe the fogs go off when the brights are turned on.

I do not have bixenon...I have halogen. So I will have to stick to halogen for high beams, correct?
I'm still learning this stuff.
Is there a site that actually SHOWS the difference between factory OEM 4300 and 5K? I did notice that I used my high beams quite often on the GS, since I loved how it lit everything up. Would the 5K give me that balance without blinding others? It is white, with no blue - correct?

Wow, that was a really awesome post. That takes a lot of time to replace all those bulbs, photograph it, then post it. Very helpful to the Lexus community. Thanks again.
