Default Broken Nav screen

Hey guys, normally dont post in this section but my dad asked me to. His Nav screen is broken in his '09 RX. The nav still works, just the screen is cracked (dont ask me how he did it).
He wants to know if just the screen can be replaced or if the whole nav unit needs to be repalced? He doesnt care if its a generic screen.
Is this something I can do myself? Is it like replacing a laptop screen (which I can do), or should I stay away from it?

Finally, the SC section goes to member/vendor 'Aliga' for any and all our SC parts needs. Do you RX guys have a member/vendor where I can grab a screen or new unit (if needed) from?

Thanks for your help!

you posted in GEN3 RX section so you should repost on GEN2 RX section of the forum. there are lot of places that can fix/replace the LCD screen but cost will be really high. Best bet would be to look for used console and replace screen or the whole unit on your own or send it to local repair shop.

Yup, '08 is 2nd gen. I'd post over there. There are some pretty handy and resourceful people in that forum who may be able to help. Good luck.
