OK I don't remember where I read a post regarding somebody was disappointed that whatever screen you use, it automatically goes back to the nav screen. Somebody wanted to have the audio screen to stay on rather than the default nav screen. I finally found a way for the audio or any other screen to stay on instead of the nav/map screen:

Press:
1. INFO button
2. Screen settings on the lower left screen
3. Up on top where it says "Auto transition.....", click OFF.

There you have it, no more reverting back to that nav screen if you don't want it
