At the time of my purchase there was no RX450H with the Luxury Package. At least not with my preferred color selection. The HUD wasn't available either. Anyway, I checked under the sill and yes it has the plug. So all I have to do is figure out where I can get the blue hybrid type sills.

Jtrue, do you know if the bulbs can be exchanged? I'm guessing the RX350 is the same fitting as the 450h. If anyone knows......

Thanks for all the pictures and input.

I don't think it uses blubs. Mostly LEDs.
I guess if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can change it to the color that you desire.

Mine was a special order, waited 4 months from Japan, fully loaded minus that laser thing.

yeah, they're just LEDs. you might try calling Luis at Carson Toyota and see if he can get them for you. they're vendors on this site, so their number should be listed in the vendor listing.

Default Illuminated Door Sills

Has anyone attempted installing the Illuminated Door Sills from the Luxury package on a non-luxury package vehicle. I know that wiring will have to be run, but didnt know if you can even get your hands on the illuminated sills.

Any comments or suggestions or people that have done it chime in.

Sewell has then for $392 plus shipping with Club Lexus discount.
Two piece for the front doors.I believe the wiring is there already.
I had the illuminated door sills on my last generation RX and really don't miss them.
I believe they came standard or with the premium pkg on the last generation RX.
More cost cutting on the new generation.

Yeah, I can't understand why it isn't in the sport package. Had them on my '04, all four doors. This is definitely going on the list but I can't say they're a must have.

Anita, all four doors in the past and now down to just the front doors. At least that's all Sewell shows. The illumination was whitish which for me looks nicer than the blue.

The sills on my 330 were orange . Couldn't figure that one out.

The rear sill is pretty small so no surprise only the front gets the illumination. I like to the white too. Blue would be too dark.

Orange?
I didn't know that.
The blue is a lighter blue.

Illuminated floor mats? Not really, but since we just received internal approval to offer the all-weather floor mat option to you RX owners I thought I might take a stab and throwing these out there ...here it is...

To get back on track, for the illuminated sill plates, all RX's are already prewired for the sill plates. It's literally a matter of plugging them in to play. This is the easiest of add-ons to install.

Here's another image for the RX illuminated sill plates from the 2010-2011 RX models...

I assume the sills will fit a 450h? It's not listed under accessories.

If you do learn that the rear illuminated sills become available, please post that info on this forum. Like you, I would also like my rear to be illuminated
