Default Front fascia issue

Has anyone who owns an RX manufactured in Japan had an issue with the front fascia yet? Our's seems to be letting go at the top seams that joins the front fenders. So far I thought this had only happened with the Canadian built cars. Thanks.

i don't think it was only the Canadian built but all earlier built. Mine held-on ok for a year but it started to separate more in the last month so i am taking it in sometime this week.

I have had 2 Japan built 2010 RX's and have not had any problems with the front fascia.
The first I had for 5 months and the current one only a month. I hope this is not a problem that shows up after a year or so.

I think there were mulitple revision to clips so this should be limited to earlier models only. I saw the gap after few months of ownership [04/2009], but in recent month it started to increase and looks like it is falling down like many have posted a year ago.

So you ended with new RX? did you get the differences from the person who "hit" your door or did you pay for it "out of your pocket"?

The guy paid for the damage to my car but I took the hit on buying a new one, after all my decision. I'm glad I did it. This one is much more solid than the first one.

I just got it fixed. invoice said $250 for two clips. Hope the new clips can hold the cover in-place. It took less than an hour so it must be an easy replacement.

I had a new RX loaner this morning and it does ride "softer" than mine. it must be the revised rear shocks on later built RX. I read here that few took it in and complained to get rear shocks replaced. Only Lexus will go this extreme for owners.

A follow up: The dealership called earlier in the week to say our car was ready, but wanted to keep it an extra day because a Lexus rep wanted to take a look at the fix. According to them it did not meet their approval so they are replacing the entire front fascia.
I know this kind of thing should not be happening but the effort to fix the problem is impressive. We have been provided a new GS all this time. I wish all Lexus dealerships treated their customers this way. Some of the stories I have heard from other's across the country are unbelievable in comparison.

This is pretty much standard Lexus policy. If you encounter Dealership's not doing this, call Lexus HO and complain. A 'Tude adjustment will follow!
