Default Trunk Mat

My mother's looking for a trunk mat that's gonna protect against spills and objects that may damage the carpet in the trunk. Would prefer one that is custom, exact fit and wraps around the edges. Pretty much the exact same story as this guy,

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...trunk-mat.html

I've heard great things about Weathertech, and I'm really liking this one as it seems to be exactly what she wants,

Any feedback of experience with this or any other mats?

Thank you very much!

I purchased one of these for my 450h and it fits very nicely, just as the picture shows

I just bought the Huskyliner and posted some pictures in this thread and I'm not especially happy with it because of the high lip on the back. I believe I'm going to return it and purchase the WeatherTech.

I ended up ordering the Weathertech cargo liner for $120 +$18 S/H. The shipping is pricey but I ordered another cargo liner for my Seville (to my surprise they had a custom cut, not trimable, liner for my 17 year old 'lac) and the shipping was still a flat $18 for both so it wasn't too bad. I should have them in several weeks, I'll post back with pictures then.

I haven't seen the real product yet, but it seems good and durable.

I just flip over the mat that came with the car, the other side of it is rubber.

The Weathertech mat is a perfect fit and a very durable product. I bought it to protect the trunk from my two dogs. The best thing about it is it is easy to clean and dog hair doesn't stick to it like it does to carpet.

The Lexus mat is of superior quality than any other I could find, but I am sure those other mats do a good job.
I just always figure the mats into the deal when ordering the car.

I had the WeatherTech on my RX400h and loved it so I ordered one for the new RX350. They are exact fit and really nice quality. They are not cheap, but I think they are a good value considering the high quality.

the problem is that Lexus is not selling them because of the Prius recalls. Even so, based on my esperience with my 2008, they don't do a good job of covering the dead pedal.

this thread is discussing trunk mats (mats that protect the trunk from spills, etc), not floor mats.

I have owned Weathertech mats since 2000 on my first Lexus and before that, Cannon Mats. Excellent quality and well worth the price.

The cargo mat is also terrific. No experience with the Lexus option but the Weathertech model has a 2" lip all around the edge which makes it ideal for those who have to introduce Snow/Ice/Mud into the cargo area for one reason or another.

Buy with confidence. Here is the package I just bought for my new 2010 RX-250

http://www.weathertech.com/store/Pac...=0&PackageId=8

My boss opted for the higher protection and more form fitting package

MacNeil/Weathertech covers the dead pedal just fine :-)
