Default Mirrors wont tilt in reverse

Hey guys. I remember it did work each time when I put car in reverse. Now, I noticed that mirrors won't tilt in reverse anymore. I was told it's settings in the NAV. I went through it and can't find it. Any idea where is it? Or it got broken? Thanks

the setting is not in the nav.

on the control to adjust your mirrors, you have the setting of L, the middle neutral area, and R. You need to keep it on either L or R, but not the middle and they should tilt in reverse.

mirror adjustment switch cannot be in the middle/neutral position, try it with the switch to L or R.

Thanks, I will try I was thinking L & R got to be pressed to identify which mirror you are adjusting. Never thought it's a reverse mirror tilt toggle - will check !

Thanks for the tip. I was searching for this very problem on my GS.

I always got annoyed when my fiancee would leave it set to L or R and not in the middle. =) I was perplexed today when I noticed it but the motors were obviously fine because I could still manually adjust them.

Hey...me too! Thanks!
Now...is there a way to make it tilt a little further down, other than just manually doing it every time?

Hopefully the RX mirrors have a better tilt design than the GS. The gears in the GS are plastic and simply wear out after a year or two of normal usage.

Mine were still operational after 6+ years on my 330. Hopefully Lexus didn't change the internal mechanisms on the 3rd gen.
