Default Parking Brake Rubber Pad Fell Off

a fairly minor issue and i was able to snap it back in place easily.

however in all the cars i owned in my life, some of them pretty beaten up i have never had rubber pads falling off foot pedals before.

i almost threw the rubber pad away thinking it was something stuck to my shoes before i realized what it was.

hopefully it wont fall again...

It could have been worse; it could have been the bumper,,,no wait, they fall off too.

i actually have the urge now to go check how those things are attached in other cars, because it doesn't seem very securely attached in the RX.

basically the rubber pad has a lip that kinda of wraps around most of the metal part, then there is small piece of rubber that goes into a hole in the metal part like a pin. but no bolts and i couldn't see any traces of glue.

I've had this issue with my Prius. It's the same part - or at least exactly the same design - and they do just slide right back on.

I would add a little rubber cement and place it back on the pedal and it shouldn't fall off anymore.
