Default brake pads

Iknow this should be simple but I'm trying to figure out whether the pad w/the tab on it goes to tyhe inside or outside of the rotor because I took them of while I was consuming copius amounts of liquid gold.any insight?

If by the "tab" you mean the wear indicator ( a springy metal piece that contacts the rotor when the pad is almost worn out), then it can go on either side. In fact, on the set of Bendix brake pads I am using there is a wear indicator on each pad, not just one.

And better to drink liquid gold when working on your car than driving it!
