I have an IS350 and there are several "easter eggs" if you know where to look for them. In particular, there is a way to override the lockout of the nav system. Is there a way to do it on the 10RX?? I find it silly that you can't put in a destination address or a phone number, but you can do a hundred other things while moving.

there are no known "easter eggs" for the 2010 RX (yet). you may have to wait awhile if you are looking for freebies...

 

New generation for the nav... going to be a while, assuming they exist. Also... no touchscreen to get into the submenus and those menus don't necessarily apply to the RX since owners can modify settings without having to go to a Lexus dealer.

Storm.. he's talking about the nav override.. push top left/bottom left whatever that enables you to get into the diagnostics/dealer settings menu.

 

they should release that safty feature when car noticed sideseat has a person. so easy to design it by changing some software code.

when we need GPS , we are normally on a travel instead of daily use. when we are on the travel, we normally have more than just one person in the car. so that safty feature doesnt real do its job but disable our ability to change destination. I have called lexus and they documented my suggestion. I hope more people could call them so make them realize that's so easy to implement and very useful.

 

yes, i understand what he's asking for. this manual nav override is available on select model year tho. the override kit i mentioned above will allow him to do this, as well as allowing him to watch dvd movies (if he has a ML audio system).
