Loose Front Bumper From Canada
We had this problem on our new RX 350 (an service loaner from the USA). It was fixed under warranty with 'revised' parts. The dealer we bought it from said it would require a new bracket and take three hours to do. Our local dealer in Vancouver put in new retaining clips and it took an hour and a half.

Looked almost perfect right after the repair. Now on the driver side about an 1/8 inch or a little less gap is apparent. Passenger side is still tight and aligned, where the original gap was noted (similiar to the pics posted a few days ago). Appears we have to live with this, until Lexus decides to do something.
Seems like you push on one side it pops up on the other side. Also the 2010 bumper is very flexible even more so in the hot sun. An observation.
Anyone else have a repair story for this problem?

My car is in the shop now, but I wonder what yours is looking like and whether it is holding up tight? I am so disappointed about how this car can have issues like this.. My old Ford Explorer never fall apart like this!!!
Can you tell us how your bumper is holding up now and whether it is still loose?
So far so good, it's been about a month, the bumper has not come loose since they put a new bumper on. If anything goes wrong, I will repost.
I'm glad you started this thread!
I bought a japan-made 2010RX450h, made in June 2010, and one day after driving home, my wife noticed a huge gap between the hood and front right quarter panel.
the dealership had nearby bodyshop assess the problem, and they noted it took 4hrs to allign the gaps.
so, although most of the comments in this thread address bumpers from RX350s, the poor lexus craftmanship apparantly affects more than one model.
what REALLY irks me, is the salesman continuously ripped on BMWs, saying "we have better craftmanship" during the sales process then balked when I came back with the above problem. Nice. All I know is my 2006 330i is an awesome machine without any problems whatsoever.
I did report this problem to Lexus international via the post-purchase survey.

I wish that I checked this site sooner. Same with my 2010 RX350 about the bumper, one driver side first. Then if I don't push it back after every drive, it gets worse and the passenger side will pop out too. Finally I went back to the dealer when I am up for my maintenance. You know what they told me? Lexus was in the rush of producing the new 2010 RX, the first few patches of cars were "rushed." So basically they didn't catch the clip problems...They ordered new clips for me and I will see if the problem is solved when I get my car back tomorrow...

I'm glad I saw this thread. I checked my 2010 RX 350 and the front bumper on the driver's side had a gap and it was loose. I took it to the dealership and they tried to replace the clips but it didn't work, they had to order a new bumper for my car. My RX was in the shop 4 days.
The dealer now says that he needs a part that will come in tomorrow am. The irony, the loaner he gave me (2011 ES350) has the same problem. The passenger side bumper pops up and you need to push it down.
