Default VentureShield & Crystal Fusion

Today the dealership is putting on VentureShield & Crystal Fusion and it will be ready for pickup tomorrow afternoon. I know my Obsidian IS250 could have benefited from it but with the RX being taller, not sure. What are your thoughts on these two products for an RX?

An SUV's hood, front bumper, etc., are as susceptible to rock chip damage as any other car.

I got paint protection installed on my RX and I'm very happy with it.

As far as Crystal Fusion, had never heard of it so don't know how effective it would be. For all it's worth, the RX already comes with water-repellent windows.

I got a quote yesterday of $695 for the entire "gold kit" Venture Shield.

$595 for the next kit down.

Does that sound about right?

The kit on my car was $695 and it included:
  • Hood and fenders (partial coverage)
  • Mirrors
  • Bumper
  • Door edges
  • Door handle cups

I'd like to add the clear-bra, too... it definitely will help protect the hood...

Well, I have to say I am glad I got the VentureShield and Crystal Fusion. The VentureShield is well done and I can hardly see it. As for the Crystal Fusion, it rained a bit yesterday and the rain just sheeted off the window. As far as the RX already having glass that does that, I am pretty sure it's just the front door windows. As far as price, I think they cut from the car price but the "sticker" price I paid for these features was $750 for the VentureShield and $609 for the Crystal Fusion.

None ! I had it on my 05 RX and had not one problem. It stayed crystal clear. I waxed it and used car washes in the winter. The first few days, until it dries, you need to be a little careful and use common sense, like no pressure washing.
