Default Help! Rattling noise from the engine

Dear friends,

Hello!

i am new here and this is my first post.

so recently bought Lexus Rx350 be model 2013 and it was slightly damaged on the left fender side upon buying an inspecting I found out that the front RHS engine mount had to be replaced and camper alignment had to be done and also I replace the tires and also I have changed the oil oil filter cabin, AC AC filter engine air filter despite all this I have two issues ,

One is the famous or would rather say in famous sound in the steering wheel I'll talk about it in some post but right now I still have some rattling noise in my engine which I am unable to figure it out and I don't want to spend a lot again at the mechanic just to find out the issue I'm sure a lot of owners here might be aware of this and posting a YouTube link here. I would really appreciate if someone, be kind enough to look at it and help me out with the possibilities. I have already tried the one of the advice about the strap on the pipe just below. The windshield have tried. I would want your help in identifying the actual noise below is the YouTube link I would really appreciate if you could help me.

Welcome to CL.
Was it the upper engine mount on the passenger side, also known as the dog bone mount? Or the lower front one?
How many miles are on it? Is it AWD or FWD? Has the transmission fluid ever been changed?
What did any of the mechanics say about this alleged rattling noise?
I thought it sounded normal for an RX.

Sometimes you just have to get used to the normal noises of a new to you vehicle.

Maybe some other members have better hearing to provide a better analysis of the noise.

Thanks for the questions ,

the mount was front right hand side near the right front wheel,

Its an FWD,

yes as per the service center all the fluids were replaced, Transmission fluids were topped up,

there is a slight TRTRTRTR in the middle, basically i want my cabin and to be noise less, there is already some wind noise but i was unable to determine from which door. This noise is just adding upto this.

best regards.

Please narrow the scope if you want folks to give you assistance over the net:

Engine running, idling, stoped. [AC off stereo off], Noise when you give gas or let off or all the time.
Vehicle moving on smooth, over bumps or turning.
Engine off, if you push down on each end do you hear the sound.

Without details you are asking for a winning lottery number.

Also, these are not the quietest vehicles and at 11 years old, it will be even noisier! There are many threads here with folks complaining about noises.

The steering wheel is more of a nuisance and not a safety factor. It can cost a lot of money to repair, possibly requiring steering column replacement. I would just turn the radio louder.

It sounds just like my engines (RX and Sienna) which are the noises of a normal 2GR-FE engine at idle.
I think you just have to get used to the new sounds and noises of this new to you vehicle. It happens to many folks when they obtain a different vehicle. Especially a used vehicle.

Diagnosing noises over the Internet has lots of drawbacks, but from what I can hear, I agree. Normal engine noises. Just the nice clackety clack of the fuel injectors

I had a similar one at 0w20, switched to 5w30 and it became a little quieter
