Default Check engine/awd system/traction light

These lights came on two weeks ago. I tightened gas cap and started car and it went away but returned a week later and won’t go away now. Used a code reader and it pulled a P0057 and P0161 code. Anyone have experience with what part I would need.

Google search with the error codes will find the reason.

How many miles on your RX?

Keep ion mind the error reports a problem and most likely replacing the sensor will fix it, but there can be other reasons like cut in the wire.

Default Hello

150,000kilometers. Sounds like a some 02 sensor in front and back potentially based on code. Is it normal that awd system light would be triggered

Yes those are warning lights but the ecu error code needs repair. Once repair is done the error code can be reset or they will go away after driving a bit. The warning lights will go away too and if they remain lit with CEL off, then the AWD system has to be looked into.

Based on milage, failure is slightly early but not outrageously early.

Do you plan to do the job yourself? Either way, use OEM sensors and only buy from reputable shops.

Not overly mechanically inclined. What would a dealer charge to replace sensors? Or mechanic shop ballpark? Do you have link to oem parts that I can replace with

Do not go to the dealer. This is something that an independent shop can replace. This engine has been used on millions of Toyota and Lexus vehicles and every shop has worked on it. 02 sensors are a wear item on an aging car and they will know how to replace it. Use Google and Yelp to find some local well regarded independent repair shops.
The shop will do their own diagnosis to identify the correct sensors that need replacement and will have their own sources to get OEM ones. They will know which manufacturers also supply Lexus/Toyota. The OEM ones are usually made by Denso. At Rock Auto the US prices for Denso 02 sensors are around $145. Of course a shop will usually mark that up.

If you go to the dealer you will pay more and they will dream up many more imaginary things that they want you to have them repair and these usually end up costing more than the vehicle is worth. All dealers do this as the service writers work on commission.
You can also Google search cost to replace 02 sensors on Lexus RX350.

Clutchless has shared his views and provided rationale for it.

I will add mine here.
Every household has vehicles and here in Club Lexus the owners own above average [price point] vehicles. If you own a vehicle you will need maintenance and eventually repair locally.
Trust convenience and cost are determining factors. Very likely this is not the first vehicle you own and have had the need of at least maintenance. I would start at the place you have had your maintenance done for recommendations or get pointers from your friends/family. Hopefully you will have good experience and finally settle on a facility/mechanic.

Where ever you decide to go, please ask for detailed estimate with parts and labor itemized.

There are a few positive things about the dealership based repairs along with the gotchas. You can decide which would be the best option for you.

Personally I don't take my vehicles for maintenance or repairs to any facility. Even if you were local to Austin I would not be able to recommend any facility. I purchase from local Lexus parts or Lexus parts retailers on eBay or online. I always call local first to determine cost. The good thing is local Lexus parts does not charge for shipping.
