Break Fluid: DOT3 or DOT4
Well, I searched here and didn't find any discussion about brake fluids.
The rx350 manual says to use DOT3... but it's getting harder and harder to find. I read that using DOT4 can corrode the master cylinder, which is why Toyota insists on DOT3.
What is your experience?

I didn't know Dot 3 was getting scarce.
As far as I know, Dot 4 is perfectly acceptable where Dot 3 is recommended, but "the internet" says not to mix the two.
I still have plenty of Toytota Dot 3, so I haven't bought any brake fluid in a while.

Dot 3 is very popular vs dot 4. Main thing about dot 3 is it'll absorb less water then dot4, but dot 4 has higher boiling points. How many ppl flush the brake fluid? That's where a dot 3 comes in.
