Well after 13 years and 170k miles, the 2008 RX350 is being traded in after having owned it since new, just two weeks after I put in a new alternator no less.
the original plan was to trade in for a slightly used GX460, but my dealer got a 1 owner, full dealer service history, fully loaded, no accident history 2009 GX470 with just 80k.
I had no intention of getting a car this old, but I absolutely love the first gen GX.
I will say this, I cleaned the RX up before bringing to the dealer for a trade in value ($4500, which was fair enough) and it made me want to just keep it, but no room for another car.
It will be missed come Saturday when the hand off happens
Having sold cars on my own before, I’m never doing it again. I’m sorry, the kind of people who buy cheap cars off CL, are the last people I want coming to my neighborhood, not worth the 1-2k extra, neither is the headache, but guess everyone is different.
Black on dark Gray with all options except KDSS, which I’m pretty sure was only available on sport package GXs
not that it means anything, but even had the “Geniune Lexus Leather” tag hanging from the passenger seat headrest. There are of the car as traded in, not washed or anything.
funny enough the for how clean this GX is, the one parked next to it was probably one of the roughest I have ever seen, with torn seats, and a bumpers that were rattle can sprayed and kept in with zip ties.
$4710-$6110. w/ same 170.000 for my zip code......IK w/ 20k lower miles will at thou....So these vehicles have a lower trade in that I thou....A yr ago, when I was looking, there were priced anywhere from $ 6500-$10.000 depending on the mileage & options....Seems like your in the ball park price wise then......
