Default average fuel mileage

Is there any way to reset the average mpg short of taking off one of the battery cables? I ask because it seems like when lexus went from the first gen to second gen models; they left out the ability to reset the mileage "on demand" like i had on the 2 previous 300s i had. Those had the ability to reset that on demand but for some reason it seems like the designers left that out on these second gens.

if you have a 400h, go to Information Trip Info, and press the button to switch it to the graph view if it has a picture of 4 wheels. Then, press reset. No idea how to do it on the 330 or 350, but it should say so in the owner’s manual and I would guess it’s in a similar spot.

from what I can tell, The only way to reset the average MPG is to fill up the tank or pull the battery cable. I believe they removed the ability to reset mid fill is so you can get a more accurate average instead of hitting reset while on the freeway and getting a less accurate reading. Maybe that’s why they have the instant reading on the next screen.
